Jussi Veikkolainen

Jussi Veikkolainen has a strong background in functional safety management and engineering. Jussi is currently working as a Functional Safety Manager at Basemark since January 2022. Prior to this, they held the position of Safety Engineer at HKL - HST - Helsinki City Transport from June 2021 to December 2021. In 2019, they worked as a Functional Safety Manager at Bosch SoftTec GmbH from October 2019 to March 2020. Jussi also served as the Manager of the R&D Software Team at EKE-Electronics Ltd from April 2019 to July 2019.

In 2018, Jussi Veikkolainen was a Team Leader for Software Development at RD Velho Oy, where they successfully led an R&D project for a startup customer, applying Lean Startup and Skunkworks principles. From August 2014 to May 2015, they worked as a Senior Development Engineer, specifically focusing on functional safety, at Danfoss Drives.

Jussi Veikkolainen also has experience as a Functional Safety Manager at Vacon Ltd from May 2010 to April 2014. Prior to that, they worked as a Software Designer at Epec Oy from April 2007 to April 2010, primarily focusing on concept and prototype phases of a new safety-certified platform for embedded and networked control modules. Jussi also served as a System Designer at Rocla Oy from September 2006 to April 2007 and as a Test Engineer at Nokian Tyres plc from August 2005 to August 2006.

Jussi Veikkolainen holds a Master of Science degree in Management and Organizations, focusing on Managing Growth Companies, which they obtained from the University of Vaasa from 2016 to 2017. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Engineering degree in Automotive Technology and Electronics from Xamk - South-Eastern Finland University of Applied Sciences, where they studied from 2001 to 2005. Jussi has also earned several additional certifications, including Functional Safety Engineer (ISO26262) from TÜV Rheinland Europe in February 2022, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (ICGB) from Nordic Process Improvement Oy in November 2011, and Functional Safety Professional (IEC61508) from TÜV SüD in December 2010.
