The Director, Total Rewards and HR Operations is responsible for the design, implementation and administration of strategic compensation, health/wellness programs, HR systems and the processes associated with supporting these programs that attract, retain and support our employees at Bauer Hockey and Cascade Maverik Lacrosse. 

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:

Compensation

  • Develop and lead the Company’s comprehensive strategy for Total Rewards using compelling and equitable compensation and benefits programs aimed at attracting and retaining world-class talent in a competitive environment and across multiple disciplines.
  • Provide strategic direction, planning, and requirements to execute the design, implementation, communication, and administration of the company's compensation programs, including annual short- and long-term incentives and executive compensation.
  • Drive recommendation of budget for salary adjustments and advise on salary increase requests.
  • Remain current on domestic and international compensation trends and practices as well as any changes in regulations.

Benefits

  • Oversee all employee benefits programs including health plans, flexible spending accounts, employee assistance programs, life, disability and retirement and ensure they provide optimum value to the organization and its employees.
  • Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of our rewards programs to ensure they are aligned with our business and talent strategies and monitor market trends to make recommendations for changes, as appropriate.
  • Prepare and execute with our broker and carriers, benefit documentation such as original and amended plan documents, summary plan descriptions, benefit agreements and insurance policies.
  • Remain current on all changes to state and federal laws pertaining to benefits, and facilitate necessary changes, assuring compliance with all applicable laws.
  • Responsible for adherence to all compliance requirements and audits.
  • Demonstrate a high degree of personal and professional integrity, confidentiality, and discretion.

Payroll

  • Lead a team that manages the payroll function.
  • Ensure employees are paid accurately and on time, and that the company remains compliant with all relevant laws and tax regulations.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of payroll policies and systems and work closely with HR and Finance departments to align payroll management with the company's broader strategic goals.

HR Systems

  • Ensure that all HR data is accurate, reliable, up to date, and responsible for meeting data privacy and regulation requirements.
  • Provide HR reports and analytics to help the management team make informed decisions.

Qualifications:

  • BS or BA in Human Resources, Communication, or related field- or equivalent years of relevant and related experience.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in compensation and benefits.
  • Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) and/or Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or similar professional certification is highly desirable.
  • Experience with total rewards strategy development, policy, plan and/or program design and implementation of strategies and offerings.
  • Strong knowledge of compensation surveys, custom survey design and statistical analysis, incentive plan design and analysis, job evaluation methodologies and pay structure analysis and design.
  • Experience with international compensation preferred.
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel.
  • Passionate talent champion with experience leading high performing people and teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to effectively communicate at all levels of organization.
  • Ability to interact and influence senior management to initiate change and lead best practices.
  • Must be able to prioritize, work under pressure, and manage complex projects on time and on budget in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Adjusts quickly to changing priorities and business needs.
  • Ability to work both independently as well as in a team partnership.
