Supply Chain Development Manager at Bavarian Nordic

Theis Povlsen's work experience includes various roles in supply chain management.

Theis started their career at Thermo Fisher Scientific as an intern in supply chain planning, where they worked on optimization projects and implemented cyclic planning. Theis also wrote their bachelor's degree thesis on implementing cyclic planning at the company.

Theis then joined Chr. Hansen Holding A/S, where they started as a Supply Chain Coordinator, primarily focused on procurement and optimizing supply chain projects. Theis later became a Global Supply Chain Coordinator, responsible for one of the main value chains in the color division. Theis worked on supply chain management, inventory, and delivery performance improvement projects globally. Povlsen then became the Supply Chain Manager in Italy, overseeing procurement, production planning, inventory, and delivery performance. Theis worked closely with the global supply chain department to implement best practices. After that, they became the Global Supply Chain Manager for Europe, responsible for European supply chain operations and collaborating with the global supply chain department and other regions to ensure inventory levels and delivery performance. Theis also developed the factories in Italy and Denmark following global supply chain best practices. Finally, they became a Global Project Manager, responsible for global supply chain development projects.

Currently, Povlsen works at Bavarian Nordic as a Supply Chain Development Manager. In this role, they act as a Lean Partner for the supply chain group and project manager on optimization projects across various departments, including customer service, distribution and shipping, procurement, planning, and warehouse. Theis also acts as a liaison between IT and the supply chain for major changes and projects.

Theis Povlsen's education history is as follows:

From 2004 to 2008, Theis Povlsen attended the Engineering College of Copenhagen, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Production and Supply Chain.

In 2013, they took a course in situational leadership (SL2) at Chr.Hansen Holding A/S, and also completed a course in Italian language at Sprog.eu during the same year.

Prior to their college education, Theis Povlsen attended Ishøj Teknisk Gymnasium from 2001 to 2004. The field of study during this period is unspecified.

From 2006 to 2008, they took part in a Practical Process Improvement (PPI) program at Nunc - Thermo Fisher Scientific. However, they did not obtain a degree during this time.

In 2013, Theis Povlsen participated in a Leadership Communications Training program at Chr.Hansen, focusing on leadership skills.
