Melissa H. is an experienced accounting professional with a diverse background in financial management and operations. Currently serving as an Accountant at Bay Federal Credit Union since April 2019, Melissa is responsible for daily balancing of loans and deposits, as well as reconciling variances. Prior experience includes roles as a Staff Accountant at Oz Distribution, Inc. and Sterling Tax & Accounting, focusing on accounts payable and receivable. Melissa also held positions in administrative and analytical roles at the City of Oakland and the San Jose Sharks, managing fiscal operations and audits. Earlier in the career, Melissa worked with the Illinois Department of Commerce, where complex financial reporting was handled, and acted in leadership capacities at the Illinois Department of Public Health and the Illinois House of Representatives. Melissa holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale.
