Mark Johnstone

Mark Johnstone is the Group Chief Executive Officer at BBA Aviation. Mark has held this position since July 2021, and prior to that they were the Group Chief Executive at Signature Aviation from March 2018 to July 2021. Signature Aviation was acquired in a $5.7bn public to private transaction on 1 June 2021 by a consortium comprising: Blackstone, Global Infrastructure Partners, and Cascade.

As of 25 November 2019, BBA Aviation plc was renamed Signature Aviation plc, following the sale of Ontic for $1.4bn and a $835m special dividend to shareholders.

BBA Aviation plc is a market-leading, global aviation support and aftermarket services provider, primarily focused on servicing the Business & General Aviation (B&GA) market.

We support our customers through three principal businesses - Signature Flight Support, Ontic, and Global Engine Services.

Mark Johnstone's educational career began at Charterhouse School. Mark then attended the University of Bristol before completing their studies at Harvard Business School. Johnstone is also a qualified chartered accountant, having studied at the ICAEW.
