Dr. Deborah Mohammed Spigner has a diverse work experience that spans over several years. Starting in 2009, they worked as the Executive Director at Common Cause New Jersey, where they developed communications and lobbying plans, organized grassroots efforts, and was involved in development and grant writing. In 2012, they joined the New Jersey State Parole Board as a Research Scientist, successfully securing over $2.5 million in federal grant funding for evidence-based reentry community programs. Dr. Deborah Mohammed Spigner holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Public Administration, which they obtained from Rutgers University - Newark. Dr Deborah pursued their doctoral studies from 2002 to 2008. Prior to that, they completed their Masters of Public Administration at Kean University, specializing in the same field of study. Their master's degree was earned between 1999 and 2001.
