Maria Favorito

Maria Favorito has over 20 years of experience in the communications industry. Maria is currently the EVP and Head of Science Communications at BCW Global since October 2022. Prior to this role, they held positions as SVP and Senior Director at BCW Global from December 2016 to November 2022. Their previous experience includes roles at Waggener Edstrom Communications as Senior Vice President, Healthcare from May 2015 to November 2016, Feinstein Kean Healthcare as Vice President, Health Sciences from September 2013 to May 2015, Cohn & Wolfe as a Scientific Communications Advisor from 2006 to August 2013, Weber Shandwick/New England as Vice President/Co-Practice Director, Healthcare in 2005, and Cohn & Wolfe as a Senior Vice President from 1998 to 2005. Maria began their career at Makovsky & Company as a Senior Account Executive/Healthcare from 1997 to 1998 and The Rosen Group as an Account Executive from 1996 to 1997. Throughout their career, Maria has developed expertise in healthcare communication and strategic leadership.

Maria Favorito received their Bachelor of Arts degree in Government and Music from Connecticut College, where they studied from 1985 to 1989. Maria then pursued a Master of Arts degree in International Affairs from The George Washington University, which they completed from 1991 to 1993.
