Chandra Vemavarapu

Chandra Vemavarapu, Ph.D., RAC has extensive work experience in regulatory strategy and leadership roles in the pharmaceutical industry. Starting in 2002 at Pfizer, they served as a Principal Scientist until 2005. Chandra then joined Bristol Myers Squibb, where they held various positions, including Senior Research Investigator/Principal Scientist, Regulatory CMC Lead, and Regulatory Strategy Lead for international markets. Their responsibilities included developing regulatory strategies for complex and diverse markets, leading CMC regulatory activities for multiple assets, and serving as a formulation scientist and drug-product team lead. In November 2021, they joined BeiGene as the Regulatory Strategy Team Lead and Senior Director.

Chandra Vemavarapu, Ph.D., RAC holds a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Rhode Island, which was completed from 1998 to 2002. Prior to that, they earned a Master of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the same institution from 1996 to 1998. Chandra Vemavarapu began their academic journey at Andhra University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm.) degree in Pharmacy from 1991 to 1995.
