Matthieu Sougné

Director Product Management Savings & Investments at Belfius

Matthieu Sougné has a diverse work experience in the finance and investment industry. Matthieu is currently the Director of Wealth Management, Private Banking, and Investment Solutions at Belfius. In this role, they are responsible for investment activities for clients in the Brussels, West Wallonia, and Hainaut regions.

Prior to Belfius, Matthieu worked at Belfius Insurance as the Head of Product Management for Life Investments. Matthieu was responsible for creating, managing, and promoting life insurance products.

Matthieu also held various positions at Securex, including Director of Business Development, Investment Manager, Investment Advisor - Lead, and Investment Advisor. In these roles, they managed asset and treasury management for insurance companies and institutional funds within the Securex Group.

Matthieu was a Permanent Invitee on the Board of Directors for the UCITS V Sicav Umano Fund and served as a Conducting Officer and Fund Manager at ShelteR Investment Management.

Matthieu began their career as a Young Graduate Trainee at CBC Bank & Insurance and served as an intern Commercial Advisor at the US Embassy. Matthieu also gained experience as a Junior Consultant at LSM Conseil and completed a week-long internship at Natixis in the trading department.

Matthieu's diverse experience in investment management, product management, and business development make him a valuable asset in the finance industry.

Matthieu Sougné began their education at Lycée de Berlaymont, where they earned their degree in Humanités générales with a focus on Options Grec - Français. Matthieu then went on to attend Université catholique de Louvain from 2006 to 2009, where they pursued a Bachelier en sciences économiques et de gestion. Following that, Matthieu enrolled at Louvain School of Management and Nottingham University Business School, completing their Master en science de gestion, option finance and studying Marketing and Finance, respectively. In 2013 to 2015, they further expanded their education by taking Dutch Lessons at Berlitz and returned to Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management in 2017 to 2018 to obtain a Mini-MBA degree in the field of business.
