Muneef Ayyash

Muneef Ayyash has an extensive work experience in various scientific and research roles. Muneef is currently working as the Director of Life Science at Believer Meats since November 2022. Previously, they held the position of Principal Scientist and Head of Media Development at Believer Meats from June 2020 to November 2022. Before that, they worked as a Project Manager at the same company from July 2019 to June 2020.

Prior to joining Believer Meats, Muneef worked at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem as a Senior Scientist from July 2017 to June 2020. Muneef also worked at Hadassa Medical centers the Hebrew University Jerusalem as part of the Biochemistry and Hematology Clinical Labs from September 1999 to June 2020.

Muneef gained experience in product development at Tissue Dynamics Ltd., where they served as the Head of Product Development from July 2017 to March 2020. Muneef also conducted significant research at the Weizmann Institute of Science as a Research Scientist from April 2015 to June 2017. Their work there resulted in the development of a new version of a medium for capturing human embryonic stem cells in a naive state.

In addition, Muneef worked as a Post Doc at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem from March 2014 to April 2015, where they focused on studying the physiological function of CK1d and CK1e kinases. Muneef started their professional journey as a student at The Arava Institute for Environmental Studies from 1998 to 1999.

Muneef Ayyash obtained a Bachelor's degree in Biology/Biological Sciences, General from Al-Quds University in the years 1993-1997. Muneef then pursued a Master's degree in Scientific computing at Birzeit University from 2005-2007. Finally, Muneef earned their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biological chemistry from the Weizmann Institute of Science, completing this degree from 2008-2013.
