Sonja Southerland Sphr

Sonja Southerland, SPHR, SHRM-SCP has a diverse range of work experience in various leadership roles within the human resources field. Sonja currently serves as the Head of Human Resources - US at Belimed since 2018. Prior to this, from 2015 to 2018, they were the Director of Human Resources at Fetter Health Care Network, where they played a key role in developing and implementing orientation and onboarding processes and managing benefits administration. From 2010 to 2015, Sonja worked as a Human Resources Manager at Carolina Center for Occupational Health, responsible for overseeing HR operations. Additionally, they have experience as an Administrative Support Manager at Medical University of South Carolina, where they facilitated various HR operations and staff development. Sonja's career began in 2000 as an Owner/Operator at Unity & Love Fellowship Ministries, Inc., where they managed residential treatment facilities and a daycare facility.

Sonja Southerland, SPHR, SHRM-SCP has a strong educational background in the field of human resources. Sonja earned a Bachelor's Degree in Non-Profit/Public/Organizational Management from Saint Augustine's University, where they attended from 2001 to 2004. Later, they pursued further education at Capella University from 2014 to 2017, earning a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Human Resources.

In addition to their academic achievements, Sonja Southerland has also obtained two significant certifications. In December 2014, they became a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR®) Certified by the HR Certification Institute.
