Stuart Martinez has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Stuart began their career as an HR Specialist at Canadian Tire in 2005 and later served as a Business Development Manager and HR Consultant at Smoothie and Juice Bar. From 2010 to 2011, they worked as an HR Specialist at Synnex Canada before joining Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada as a Policy Development Performance Management professional from 2011 to 2014. Stuart then moved on to Canadian Autoparts Toyota Inc. as a Senior Human Resources Specialist from 2014 to 2015. In 2016, Stuart took on the role of HR College Instructor at the Los Angeles Film School. Stuart later served as a Manager, Talent Acquisition, and Development, and subsequently as the Human Resources Manager at Hostway Services, Inc. from 2017 to 2018. Stuart joined the City of Austin in 2019, where they held various positions including HR Advisor and HR Manager II until 2021. Currently, they are working at Belkin as a Senior People Manager - HR Business Partner and has recently been promoted to the position of Director of People in 2022.

Stuart Martinez holds a Master of Human Resources Management degree from York University, which they completed from 2010 to 2012. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Commerce Honors Business Administration degree from the University of Windsor, where they studied from 2000 to 2003.

In addition to their degrees, Stuart also has professional certifications. Stuart received their SHRM-CP (Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional) certification from SHRM in June 2015. Stuart obtained the PHR (Professional in Human Resources) certification from HRCI (Human Resources Certification Institute) in June 2013.
