Jay Denniston, CFS has over 20 years of experience in scientific and research roles. Jay currently serves as the Chief Scientist of Product Development and Innovation at BellRock Brands, where they manage the organization's scientific and research operations related to innovation and development. Prior to this, they were the Director of Science at Dixie Brands Inc., leading a team of scientists in developing cannabis-infused products using proprietary technology.

Before joining Dixie Brands, Jay served as a Senior Analytical Chemist at CannLabs, Inc., where they conducted research and analysis. Jay also held the position of Director of Product Development and Innovation at Boreal Technologies, overseeing the development and manufacture of hemp-derived nutraceutical products.

Additionally, Jay has experience in the cannabis industry as a Director of Analytical Services at Full Spectrum Laboratories, where they supervised analytical instrumentation and conducted safety testing.

Earlier in their career, they worked as an Organic Chemistry Laboratory Director at Reservoirs Environmental and as a Forensic Toxicologist at the Travis County Medical Examiner's Office, performing toxicological analysis of body fluids and tissues.

Jay began their career as a Chemist at the State of Texas Commission on Environmental Quality and the State of Texas Department of Health, Environmental Sciences Division, where they conducted analysis of air and water samples using various analytical techniques.

Throughout their career, Jay has demonstrated expertise in managing scientific operations, leading teams, conducting research and analysis, and developing innovative products.

Jay Denniston, CFS earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from the University of Texas at Austin in 1998. In November 2014, they obtained the Certified Food Scientist (CFS) certification from the Institute of Food Technologists (IFT).
