Ajay Subramanian

Ajay Subramanian has a diverse and extensive work experience in various leadership and engineering roles. Ajay was the Head of Engineering, Data Interfaces at Benchling from February 2023 onwards. Prior to that, they worked as the Head of Developer Ecosystems at Benchling, where they were responsible for building the next generation of Data APIs, Data Lakes & Benchling Apps Platform. Before joining Benchling, Ajay was employed at LinkedIn for several years, serving as the Head of Engineering, Enterprise Learning and Engineering Manager - Search Infrastructure. Ajay also founded Sift Shopping and worked as a Founder. Additionally, Ajay has experience at VMware Inc. as a Staff Engineer and at Azul Systems Inc. as a Software Engineer.

Ajay Subramanian holds a Master of Science in Engineering degree in Computer Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin. Ajay also completed a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Delhi University and Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology. Additionally, Ajay attended Delhi Public School - R. K. Puram. Ajay has obtained several certifications, including Fred Kofman's courses on Accountability and Managing Conflict from LinkedIn, and Jeff Weiner's courses on Establishing a Culture and a Plan for Scaling and Managing Compassionately, also from LinkedIn.
