Alex Merrill

Alex Merrill has a long history of work experience, beginning in 2018 as a Head Jr Sailing Instructor at the Lake Champlain Yacht Club. In 2019, they worked as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Beta Technologies, where they developed and tested flight critical systems for a next gen eVTOL aircraft. That same year, they also worked as a Paddling/Tree Climbing instructor at Cornell Outdoor Education, teaching outdoor focused P. E classes. In 2021, they worked as an Engineering TA at Cornell University College of Engineering, teaching undergraduate mechanical engineering courses. Alex also worked as a Production Engineering Intern at Benchmark Space Systems that same year. In 2022, they worked as a Production Engineer at Benchmark Space Systems and as a Ski Technician at Aspen Skiing Company, where they sized and adjusted equipment appropriately for guests ability and stature. Alex also worked as a Dive Tender/ Deckhand at Champlain Divers in 2020.

Alex Merrill completed a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University in 2021, and a Master of Engineering in Systems Engineering from Cornell University in 2021.
