Stephen Merriman has extensive work experience in revenue management, sales, marketing, and revenue optimization in the hospitality industry. Stephen started their career at Grand Cypress Resort as the Director of Marketing. Stephen then served as the Corporate Director of Sales, Marketing, and Revenue Management at The Chanler at Cliff Walk | Mission Point Resort. Later, they joined TravelClick as a Manager of Key Accounts, where they were responsible for retaining existing accounts and selling new products. Stephen then worked at Mission Point Resort as the Director of Sales, Marketing, and Revenue. After that, they became the Regional Director of Revenue Optimization at Salamander Hotels & Resorts, overseeing revenue strategies for multiple properties. Currently, they are the Regional Director of Revenue Management at Benchmark, Pyramid Luxury & Lifestyle.

Stephen Merriman attended the University of Pittsburgh from 1997 to 2000, where they studied English Literature. In addition, they obtained several certifications from Cornell University, including a Master Certificate in Revenue Management in 2017, a Certificate in Advanced Hospitality Revenue Management in 2017, a Certificate in Hotel Revenue Management in 2017, and a Certificate in Hospitality Marketing in 2012.
