August Swanson

Software Architect at BennuBio

August Swanson has worked in the software engineering field for over 30 years. In 1989, they began their career as a Senior System Design Engineer at Amdahl Corp., where they performed IBM 390 mainframe architecture testing and validation. In 1995, they founded Darkling Simulations, LLC, where they developed software tools for computer graphics for use in the fields of movie special effects, computer game development, architectural renderings, and medical visualizations. In 2001, they founded Quemazon Aikido, teaching martial arts to beginner through advanced students. In 2010, they founded DarklingX, LLC, where they did internal research and development on products in the field of computer graphics. In 2016, they worked as an Independent Contractor for Neptune and Company, Inc., developing web applications for Structured Decision Making (SDM) and environmental testing data management. Since 2018, they have been a Software Architect at BennuBio, Inc., where they are responsible for the operation of the entire system from firmware to end user interface.

August Swanson attended The University of New Mexico from 1984 to 1989, earning a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering.
