Jiyoung Shin has a diverse work experience in the pharmaceutical and clinical research industry. Starting in 2004, they worked as a Professional Sales Representative at MSD before moving on to Johnson & Johnson as a Regulatory Specialist in 2007. In 2008, Jiyoung worked as a Hospital Pharmacist at Seoul National University Hospital. Jiyoung then joined ICON plc in 2009 as a Senior Clinical Research Associate. In 2014, they transitioned to PRA Health Sciences, initially working as a Senior Clinical Research Associate and later progressing to roles such as Regional Clinical Project Manager. Jiyoung'smost recent role was at BeiGene, where they started in 2020 as a Senior Clinical Operations Manager before being promoted to Senior Manager and subsequently Associate Director of the Regional Clinical Study Management Team.

Jiyoung Shin is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management at AGSM @ UNSW Business School. Prior to this, Jiyoung completed a Master's degree in Public Health at the University of Sydney. Their undergraduate education included a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Pharmacy from Sungkyunkwan University.
