Thomas Trincado

Founder & CEO | CFO at Berba

Thomas Trincado has held a variety of roles in the past eight years. From 2011 to 2012, they were a Simultaneous Interpreter at the Universidad del País Vasco/Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea. Thomas then worked as an Agricultural Officer in London for the Spanish Embassy's Agricultural Office from 2012 to 2013. From 2013 to 2017, they worked at Brainlab, first as a Management Associate and then as a Customer Service Sales Representative. In 2017, they co-founded Aizome as the Marketing and Outreach Co-Founder, where they designed and optimized websites, created and post-produced advertising content, and regularly kept track of activity and progress. In 2019, they co-founded Berba, where they serve as the CEO. At Berba, they work to create a crowdsourced translation marketplace powered by human-in-the-loop Artificial Intelligence.

Thomas Trincado began their educational journey in 1996 at Ander Deuna Ikastola, where they obtained a Health Science degree with a focus in Biology, General. In 2008, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Language Interpretation and Translation from Universidad de Valladolid. After this, they attended Stiftung Universität Hildesheim and obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in International Information Management/International Communication and Translating in 2011. In the same year, they obtained a Master's degree in Language Interpretation and Translation from Universidad del País Vasco/Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea. In 2016, they attended Nagano Business and Language College and obtained a JLPT 3 in Japanese. In 2014, they obtained The Gober Method certification from Mary Gober International Ltd and Getting Things Done certification from David Allen Company.
