Scott Koontz

Scott Koontz is a seasoned cybersecurity and IT infrastructure expert with over two decades of experience in the industry. Currently serving as Senior Director of Cybersecurity Architecture at Berkshire Hathaway Energy since January 2010, Scott leads security architecture initiatives and develops robust cybersecurity frameworks to protect critical assets. Previous roles include Director and Principal Cybersecurity Architect at the same company, where Scott advised on integrating effective security controls into technology architectures. Earlier experiences include leading corporate IT strategy as Infrastructure Architect at PacifiCorp, providing consultancy services at E-Botz Consulting Services and COMSYS, and managing and developing consultants at Lucent Technologies. Scott holds a BA in Economics from Trinity University and an MPP in Public Policy from Duke University.
