Grant Ingersoll

Grant Ingersoll has a diverse work experience. Grant is currently working as the Interim CTO at Knoetic | CPOHQ since March 2023. Prior to this, they served as a Fractional CTO at Best Practice Institute starting from November 2022. In 2019, they founded Develomentor, where they worked as a consulting CTO focused on Search, Machine Learning, and Natural Language Processing. Grant also created and hosts a podcast and website focused on careers in technology. Grant has worked as an Instructor at co:rise since November 2021 and as an Advisor at SearchStax since July 2021.

Before their current roles, Grant held various positions including being a Public Speaker on technical topics, a Founder of the Mahout Machine Learning Project at Apache Software Foundation, and a Committer on Apache Solr and Lucene Java. Grant has also worked as an Independent Contractor, where they authored a book on open source tools for search and natural language processing.

Previously, they served as a Fractional CTO at Next Street from November 2022 to April 2023 and at Charity Navigator from July 2022 to December 2022.

Grant Ingersoll started their education at Buffalo High School from 1988 to 1992. Grant then attended Amherst College from 1992 to 1996, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Math and Computer Science. Following that, Grant pursued a Master's degree in Computer Science at Syracuse University from 1996 to 2000.
