EVP & Chief Administrative Officer at Beth Israel Lahey Health

As Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer, Kristen Lepore oversees several system service functions, including human resources, information technology, as well as marketing and communications. She has more than 25 years experience working in complex organizations and has deep management and problem-solving experience.

Prior to joining Beth Israel Lahey Health, Kristen served as Chief of Staff to Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker, overseeing the state’s executive branch consisting of more than 42,000 employees. In that role, she managed Governor Baker’s Cabinet and executive agencies and coordinated and executed on the Administration’s priorities and objectives including managing the state’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic and the Merrimack Valley gas explosion.

Kristen previously served the Baker Administration as Secretary of the Executive Office for Administration and Finance. In this role, she formulated and administered the state’s $42 billion operating and capital budgets successfully closing a billion dollar structural deficit. She managed several administrative agencies, including information technology, health insurance, human resources, tax collection, procurement and state facilities. Kristen previously served as Vice President of Government Affairs at Associated Industries of Massachusetts and served as Policy Director on Charlie Baker’s 2010 gubernatorial campaign.

Kristen holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Suffolk University and a master’s degree in public administration from Suffolk’s Sawyer School of Management.
