Katharine Sargent

Katharine Sargent is the Director of Communications at Betterment. Katharine has over seven years of experience in communications and public relations, with a focus on the financial sector.

Katharine began their career at JConnelly, where they served as Assistant Vice President and account lead for a portfolio of wealth management and financial tech clients. In this role, they provided strategic communications counsel to clients and designed and executed strategic PR campaigns utilizing traditional, broadcast, social and digital media. Katharine was also responsible for managing and motivating junior account team members and guiding their career progression.

In April 2018, Katharine joined Sunshine Sachs Morgan & Lylis as a Senior Account Director. In this role, they developed and executed comprehensive integrated media and communications strategies for a variety of Sunshine Sachs’ corporate, tech, advocacy and consumer clients.

Katharine is currently the Director of Communications at Betterment, where they oversee all internal and external communications for the company.

Katharine S. has a BA in Creative Writing and Art Katharine'story from Hamilton College and also attended Noble and Greenough School.
