Jane A. Welch, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience in various roles. Jane A. started their career as an Undergraduate Student Researcher at Clemson University, where they conducted protein biochemistry research and collaborated with a team of scientists. Jane A. then served as an HHMI International Student Researcher at CNRS, where they focused on developing vector control strategies for malaria.

Jane continued their academic journey and became a Ph.D. Candidate in Human Genetics at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. In this role, they managed multiple research projects related to human cancers and made significant discoveries in the field. Following this, they pursued their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Human Genetics at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine from 2011 to 2017.
