John Venable

John Venable has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. John is currently working as a Sr. Sales Engineer at Beyond Identity since January 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Proofpoint as a Sr. Sales Engineer from June 2021 to January 2022 and at Code42 from August 2019 to June 2021 in the same role.

Before transitioning to the sales field, John had a successful career in the technology industry. From July 2018 to August 2019, they worked as a Sr. Sales Engineer - Central and Canada at COFENSE, where they were responsible for implementing Proof of Concept, providing technical support, and delivering product presentations to clients.

From August 2015 to July 2018, John served as a Senior Sales Engineer at NEC Corporation, supporting the Sales team in new business opportunities and specializing in bio-metrics/facial recognition solutions and unified communications/collaboration.

In addition to their professional endeavors, John also has a philanthropic background. John founded and ran Band of Brothers Outdoors, a non-profit organization aimed at introducing recreational therapy to military veterans. John served as the President and Co-Founder for three years from January 2015 to November 2017.

John's career began in the USMC, where they served as a Quality Assurance Manager/Q.A. Safety Observer and CH-46 Aviation Ordnance Technician from August 2005 to October 2009. John managed and mentored a team of 20+ personnel and gained project management experience during training and combat operations.

John Venable completed their Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus on Management at Argosy University Twin Cities from 2010 to 2013. In 2015, they attended New Horizons Computer Learning Center and obtained a certification in INCD1, specializing in Computer and Information Sciences and Support Services. Prior to that, they graduated from Crittenden County High School in 2005. Additionally, John Venable has obtained various certifications in different fields, including Protection Server Level 2 from Proofpoint in 2021, Code42 Certified Administrator from Code42 in 2019, and several certifications in network and communication systems from NEC Corporation, Cisco, ADTRAN, ShoreTel, and COFENSE between 2012 and 2018.
