Matthew Simmons is an experienced Project Delivery Manager at McDonald's, overseeing the development approvals process since January 2024. In addition to this role, Matthew has been volunteering as a Researcher for Beyond Zero Emissions since May 2022. Previous positions include Strategic Planner at the Victorian Planning Authority from March 2021 to January 2024 and a Planner during a secondment at the Department of Transport and Planning in mid-2023. Matthew actively contributed to the Planning Institute of Australia's Victorian Young Planners Committee from November 2021 to December 2023. Earlier career stages include various roles at Hobsons Bay City Council, covering strategic and statutory planning functions from January 2018 to March 2021. Matthew holds a Bachelor of Urban and Regional Planning (Honours) from RMIT University, earned between 2017 and 2020.
