Ivana Sitepu

Ivana Sitepu is currently a DUT-BGI Scholarship Awardee at BGI Genomics, involved in the Department of Plant Multidimensional Genomics and Agricultural Applications since September 2023. Previously, as a Bioinformatics Analyst Intern at BGI Research Sanya, Ivana focused on spatiotemporal transcriptomics of rice seed germination, emphasizing data analysis using Python, bash scripts, and R. Ivana also completed internships at PT Aimtopindo Nuansa Kimia and PT Perkebunan Nusantara III, conducting research in microbial immobilization and palm oil processing, respectively. Prior to these roles, Ivana served as a Research Assistant at Institut Teknologi Del, analyzing amylase production, and gained leadership experience as a moderator for a significant student meeting. Ivana is pursuing a Master of Science in Bioengineering at Dalian University of Technology, following a Bachelor's degree in Bioprocess Engineering from Institut Teknologi Del.
