Candace Johnson

Candace Johnson currently serves as Associate Director of Communications at the Big Ten Conference, having held the position since October 2023. Previously, Candace Johnson was the Coordinator of Player Engagement for football at The Ohio State University from September 2017 to April 2023, where responsibilities included mentoring student-athletes, planning the Career & NIL Expo, and managing job shadowing programs. Prior roles include Assistant Director of Athletics Communications at The Ohio State University and Assistant Director of Athletic Media Relations at Howard University, where Candace Johnson developed successful media relations strategies and significantly increased social media engagement. Additional experience includes positions at the University of Connecticut, Coppin State University, and internships with the Atlantic Coast Conference. Candace Johnson holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Sport Management from Guilford College.
