Liz Grekas, DrPH, MPH, MS has a diverse work experience in the field of medical research and public health. Starting in 2001, they worked as a Research Associate at CuraGen Corporation for over a year. From 2002 to 2005, they held various roles at Kendle International, including Drug Safety Associate and Clinical Data Manager. Starting in 2005, they joined Sunovion Pharmaceuticals Inc. as a Principal Safety Specialist for over a decade. In 2016, they became the Director of Pharmacovigilance at Vericel Corporation, where they worked until 2020. During the same period, they also served as an IRB Member at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. From 2020 to 2022, they worked as the Global Safety Lead at Agios Pharmaceuticals. In 2022, they took on new roles as an Advisory Board Member at The Springboard Collaborative and as an IRB Member at Harvard Medical School. Currently, they are working as the PV Scientist Lead at the Bill & Melinda Gates Medical Research Institute.

Liz Grekas, DrPH, MPH, MS has an extensive education history focused on public health and related fields. Liz began their educational journey in 1997 at the University of Connecticut, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular Cell Biology, completing their studies in 2001.

In 2004, Liz pursued a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree at A.T. Still University of Health Sciences, specializing in Public Health. Liz'sstudies in this field lasted until 2006, equipping their with the knowledge and expertise necessary to tackle various public health issues.

Continuing their educational pursuits, Liz attended Northeastern University from 2008 to 2010, earning a Master of Science (MS) degree in Regulatory Affairs. This program provided their with a deep understanding of the regulatory framework governing pharmaceuticals and medical devices.

Driven by their passion for public health and a desire to further contribute to the field, Liz embarked on a Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) program at Capella University in 2015. Focusing on the discipline of Epidemiology, Liz dedicated five years to their doctoral studies, ultimately achieving their degree in 2020. Throughout their doctoral candidacy, they demonstrated their commitment to academia and professional growth, completing the program in 2018.

In addition to their formal degrees, Liz has further expanded their knowledge and expertise through the acquisition of various certifications. Notably, they obtained a certification from the National Society of Leadership of Success in March 2022. Furthermore, as a doctoral candidate at Capella University, they received certification in December 2018.
