Mikael Nilsson

Mikael Nilsson is an accomplished professional in the field of food engineering and innovation, currently serving as Senior Director of Innovation, Product & Application Development at BillerudKorsnäs since March 2021. Prior to this role, Mikael held significant positions at Nomad Foods as Head of R&D Nordics and Senior R&D Manager at Findus Sverige. Mikael's experience at Findus encompasses roles such as Development Manager and Nordic Project Manager for Retail & Private Label. Earlier career achievements include serving as Technical Product Manager and Product Developer at Dr Persfood AB. Mikael began a career in academia at Lund University, where research and a PhD in Applied Nutrition and Food Chemistry were undertaken after obtaining a Master's degree in Food Engineering.
