Hunain Amir

Hunain Amir has a diverse work experience in the field of information security and technology. Hunain most recently worked as a Lead Security Engineer at Binance.US. Prior to that, they were a Senior Security Engineer at LivePerson, where they were responsible for designing and implementing information system security controls. Hunain also worked at Rogers Communications as an Information Security Engineer, where they automated processes using Python scripting and implemented the ELK stack for threat intelligence. In addition, Hunain has experience as a Security Specialist at GEOTAB, where they managed IT compliance activities and assisted in acquiring certifications. Hunain also has experience in web development and design, having worked as a Director of Information Technology at the Human Resources Student Association and a UX/UI Designer at Global Compact Network Canada. Hunain began their career as an IT Development Intern at Students Offering Support and an IT Specialist Intern at Cyderes. Hunain holds advanced knowledge in Python, REST API, and various security tools.

Hunain Amir holds a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology which was obtained from York University between the years 2014 and 2019. In addition, Hunain has obtained several certifications including OSCP (Offensive Security Certified Professional) from OffSec and eJPT (eLearnSecurity Junior Pentration Tester) from eLearnSecurity, both in 2023. Hunain also holds the Terraform Associate (002) certification from HashiCorp, obtained in September 2022. Furthermore, they have the IT Information Library Foundations Certification - ITIL®V4 from AXELOS Global Best Practice in 2020 and the Splunk Power User certification from Splunk in 2016.
