Xiaoying Hillaker

Xiaoying Hillaker has extensive work experience in the field of data engineering and analysis. In their most recent role at Surest, they served as a Principal Data Engineer (Tech Lead), where they were responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes. Xiaoying also provided guidance and mentorship to mid-level data engineers. Prior to this, Xiaoying worked at DNV as a Senior Full Stack Data Scientist/Engineer (Tech Lead), where they led big data architecture assessments and mentored a team of data scientists and engineers. Xiaoying also worked as a Full Stack Data Scientist/Engineer, where they developed and scaled data pipelines and analytics procedures. Before their time at DNV, Xiaoying worked at Nexteer Automotive as a Predictive Quality Analyst, where they conducted predictive analysis on shop floor data and developed web applications for data analysis and visualization. Xiaoying also has experience as a Web Developer at Nexteer Automotive and underwent training in IoT development at Axelta. Xiaoying began their career as a Graduate/Research Assistant in Data Analysis and Visualization at Central Michigan University and as a Software Developer Intern at DICE Corporation. Xiaoying also won first prize in the HOLTEK Single Chip Application Competition for designing a Sudoku player. Overall, Xiaoying Hillaker has a diverse background in data engineering, analysis, and IoT development.

Xiaoying Hillaker completed a Master of Computer Science degree at Central Michigan University from 2014 to 2016. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Xiamen University Tan Kah Kee College, graduating in 2008. Xiaoying has also obtained additional certifications such as ServSafe Manager from the American National Standards Institute in December 2019 and the First Prize of HOLTEK Single Chip Application Competition in China in 2014. In 2019, they obtained certifications in Building Deep Learning Applications with Keras 2.0 from LinkedIn and Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (ICGB) from Nexteer Automotive.
