Masako Murai

Masako Murai, MD, PhD, is a seasoned clinical leader in the pharmaceutical industry, currently serving as the Clinical Lead for SKYCLARYS (omaveloxolone) at Biogen. Previously, Masako held the position of Associate Vice President of Clinical Development at Reata Pharmaceuticals, Inc. and served in various roles at The Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson, where responsibilities included Translational Medicine Program Lead and Senior Director for the Innate Immune Pathway. Masako's experience also includes serving as Medical Director in Clinical Translational Science-GI at Takeda and Director of Drug Safety/Pharmacovigilance at Prometheus Laboratories, a Nestlé Health Science Company. Masako earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Gastroenterology from the Graduate School of Medicine, The University of Tokyo, and a Doctor of Medicine from Niigata University School of Medicine.
