Melina Blees

Melina Blees is a highly skilled professional currently serving as the Business Operations & Strategy Director and Head of BioLabs Philadelphia since September 2018, where notable achievements include launching the flagship Philadelphia site and a joint site with CIC. Previous experience includes the role of Director of Innovation at Skyscraper, Inc., leading strategic innovation processes and executing significant projects with high-profile clients, alongside a postdoctoral position at the University of Chicago’s STAGE program focused on blending science with the arts. Melina's foundational work at the Cornell Nanoscale Science and Technology Facility as a CNF Fellow contributed to advancements in nanoimprint lithography and earned the Whetten Memorial Award. Academic credentials include a PhD in Physics from Cornell University and a BA in Physics from Carleton College, complemented by a Master of Science in Physics from Cornell University.
