Marlaina Lewis

Marlaina Lewis, MS has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Marlaina currently holds the position of SVP, Strategy at Biolumina, starting in August 2022. Prior to that, they worked at MDcentRx from January 2020 to August 2022, where they held roles such as Vice President, Senior Director, and Director of Scientific Strategy. Marlaina also has experience as an Associate Consultant at Cello Health Consulting from September 2018 to January 2020. Marlaina has a background in scientific research, having worked as a Senior Associate Scientist at Bayer from March 2017 to September 2018, and as a Principal Scientist at Eurofins Lancaster Laboratories Professional Scientific Services, LLC from July 2016 to March 2017. Marlaina started their career as a Pharmaceutical Chemist at Pharmatek, where they held roles as Pharmaceutical Chemist II from August 2015 to June 2016, and Pharmaceutical Chemist I from March 2014 to August 2015. Marlaina also has experience in sales as a Sales Lead Generator at Ad-Juster, Inc. from October 2013 to March 2014. Marlaina began their professional journey as a Research Assistant under Dr. Elise Champeil at John Jay College from December 2009 to December 2011.

Marlaina Lewis, MS, has a strong educational background in the fields of forensic science and chemistry. Marlaina obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the University of South Carolina, graduating Summa Cum Laude in the year 2009. Subsequently, they pursued their Master of Science in Forensic Science at John Jay College (CUNY) from 2009 to 2011, achieving the degree with Cum Laude distinction. During their time at both institutions, Marlaina made notable academic achievements as they were included in the Dean's List at both the University of South Carolina in August 2009 and John Jay College in December 2011. In addition to their formal education, Marlaina has also obtained certifications in product management and project management, further enhancing their professional skills. Marlaina completed the "Product Management: Building a Product Strategy" certification from LinkedIn in October 2021 and the "Project Management Bootcamp" certification from Bayer in August 2018.
