Hung-Chun Yu

Hung-Chun (James) Yu is a highly experienced scientist specializing in genetics and genomics. Currently serving as a Senior Scientist in Clinical Affairs at Bionano Genomics, Inc. since October 2021, Hung-Chun previously worked as a Research Scientist in Pediatric and Adult Genetics at Human Longevity, Inc. from April 2016 to October 2021. Prior roles include Research Associate at the University of Colorado Denver and Children's Hospital of Colorado, and various postdoctoral positions focused on genomic disorders at institutions such as The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the University of Colorado Denver. Hung-Chun holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry and Biochemistry from the University of Oklahoma, along with a Master’s in Molecular Biology and a Bachelor's in Life Science. Expertise includes Whole-Exome Sequencing (WES), automated data analysis, and high-throughput next-gen sequencing.
