Tyler Lestak

Tyler Lestak has a diverse work experience in both engineering and administrative roles. Tyler worked as a Hardware and System Test Engineer at Bionaut Labs starting from June 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Systems Test Engineer at Neocis Inc. from June 2021 to June 2023. Tyler was also a Research Assistant III at Interface Design Lab from March 2020 to June 2021. As a Graduate Student Researcher, they worked at Interface Design Lab - Additive Manufacturing from May 2019 to May 2020. Tyler also has experience as an Undergraduate Student Researcher at Ni Group from October 2017 to June 2018. Additionally, they served as a Manufacturing Engineer Intern at PDM Solutions from July 2017 to September 2017. Apart from these engineering roles, they have worked as an Administrative Assistant at Corbett & Associates Insurance Agency, Inc. from June 2010 to September 2014. Tyler also worked as an Assistant Coach at Silverfin Lacrosse LLC in June-August 2014. Tyler was a member of Edinburgh University Young Scientific Researchers Association from September 2016 to January 2017.

Tyler Lestak first completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics with an emphasis in Astrophysics and a minor in Engineering Mechanics at UC San Diego from 2014 to 2018. In 2016, during their time at UC San Diego, they studied abroad at The University of Edinburgh for a semester. Later, from 2018 to 2020, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering at San Diego State University. Tyler also obtained two additional certifications: the CSU I-Corps Sprint 2020 in August 2020 and the I-Corps DMV Node from the National Science Foundation in June 2021.
