Michael Boehler

Michael Boehler, MD has a diverse work experience. Michael is currently serving as a Vice President and General Manager at BioNTech SE. Prior to that, they held various roles at BioNTech, including Vice President of Global Commercial and Head of Global External Communications. Michael was also a Co-Founder and Managing Director at N1 GmbH, a subsidiary of Heartbeat Labs GmbH. In addition, they have worked as a Vice President and General Manager at Kite Pharma, and as the Country Head of Takeda Oncology in Germany. Michael has also held leadership positions at Takeda Pharmaceuticals, Amgen, Novartis Oncology, and Pfizer. Before transitioning into the pharmaceutical industry, they worked in various medical roles at General Hospital Dornbirn and the Department of Anaesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine at Medical University Innsbruck.

Michael Boehler, MD has a diverse education history. In 1995-1996, they attended The University of Freiburg where they pursued a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree in Human Medicine. Subsequently, in 1997, they attended Medizinische Universität Innsbruck and obtained another MD degree in Human Medicine. In 2002-2004, Dr. Boehler enrolled in the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University, where they completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Business Administration. Additionally, in 2003, they briefly attended UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School to further their MBA education. Finally, Dr. Boehler is currently pursuing a Certificate in Business Excellence, specifically in the Corporate Governance Program, from Columbia Business School, with an expected completion date in 2022.
