Sushma Kommineni

Sushma Kommineni is currently the Director of Translational Science at BioNTech SE. Before joining BioNTech SE, Sushma held positions at Takeda as the Clinical Biomarker Innovation and Development lead in Gastroenterology, and at Merck as an Associate Principal Scientist at Merck's Exploratory Science Center. Sushma's background includes work as a Postdoc Industry Consultant at the Medical College of Wisconsin, where Sushma also served as a Biotech Consultant. Sushma's research focus includes investigating factors contributing to the colonization of Enterococcus faecalis in the gastrointestinal tract. Sushma's educational background includes a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Oregon Health & Science University.
