Kishan Dumpeta

Kishan Dumpeta has a diverse and extensive work experience in the agriculture industry. Kishan is currently working as the Chief Operating Officer at Nandi seeds, a subsidiary of Biostadt India Limited, where they are responsible for managing the overall seed business. Their role involves strategic planning, research and development, sales and marketing, operations, and mergers and acquisitions.

Prior to their current position, Kishan worked at Syngenta for over 15 years. Kishan held various leadership roles in the company, including Head of Seeds Strategy & Programs for the Asia Pacific region. In this role, they were responsible for driving strategic and operational initiatives and played a key role in separating the seeds and crop protection businesses in the region. Kishan also served as the Head of Asia Pacific Corn E2E Supply Chain and Merger & Integration, where they designed and implemented supply chain strategies to improve profitability and reduce costs. Kishan also had an international assignment as the Production, Operations, Supply and BD Head in the Philippines, where they successfully established and scaled up the company's GM Corn business.

Before joining Syngenta, Kishan worked at Advanta India Limited, formerly ITC Zeneca Limited, where they held a role in production & processing, supply, and marketing.

Kishan Dumpeta has a diverse education history. Kishan obtained a B.Sc in Botany, Zoology, and Chemistry from Osmania University in 1989. Kishan then pursued further studies in agronomy and crop science, earning a Bachelor's and Master's degree from Andhra Pradesh Agricultural University between 1989 and 1995. In 2011, Kishan attended INSEAD where they completed a production and supply academy program focusing on agribusiness. Kishan also participated in an intensive MBA program at Market Edge in 2014, focusing on business strategy, financial performance, and organizational culture. In 2015, they attended the Center for Creative Leadership for a leadership development program. Kishan has also engaged in several professional coaching programs, including Operational Excellence Coaching in 2016, Soul Star for executive coaching, and People Centered Implementation from 2016 to 2018. Additionally, in 2017 they pursued a leadership program at Landmark.
