Michael Mater

Michael Mater has over 20 years of experience in engineering and product management. Michael began their career in 1997 as a Senior Software Engineer at X-Rite, where they were responsible for the development of the MatchStik product. In 2004, they joined Coherix as Product Manager and Chief Engineer for ShaPix, where they were responsible for developing market, cost, warranty, and business plans for global distribution of ShaPix product line. Additionally, they led the development of the ShaPix S150 sensor, and invented and developed a new multi wavelength laser system for ShaPix. In 2014, they joined BIOVIGIL as an Engineering Development Manager, where they managed a firmware team of two and was responsible for IOT connected products, including development, feature implementation, field analysis, bug fixes, production test processes, product version integration, releases and end user satisfaction.

Michael Mater attended Michigan Technological University from 1989 to 1993, where they earned a degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus in Electronics.
