Emil Maag

Emil Maag has extensive work experience in the field of data science and bioinformatics. From June 2018 to June 2019, they worked as a Data Scientist (Student Assistant) at BioXpedia A/S, where they assisted in statistical and bioinformatic product development and conducted statistical analysis of biological data with clinical relevance. From June 2019 to June 2020, they continued to work as a Data Scientist at BioXpedia A/S, taking on a more advanced role. Since June 2020, they have been serving as the Lead Data Scientist at BioXpedia A/S, responsible for leading the development of statistical and bioinformatic products and conducting statistical analysis on circulating proteins as biomarkers for various types of cancer. Additionally, Emil Maag has also worked as a Teaching Assistant and a Student Member of the Teaching Committee at Aarhus Universitet from August 2018 to June 2019. In January 2023, they have been invited as a Keynote Speaker for the World Data Congress.

Emil Maag began their education in 2009 at Silkeborg Gymnasium, where they completed their secondary education. Afterward, from 2014 to 2017, Maag pursued a Bachelor's degree in molecular biology at Aarhus University. Following their undergraduate studies, they enrolled at Aarhus University again, this time from 2017 to 2019, to pursue a cand. scient. degree in Bioinformatics.
