Rune Nørgaard

Rune Nørgaard has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries and roles. Rune is currently working as the Sr. Director of IT and Quality at BioXpedia A/S, a bioanalytical service company. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Operations, Quality, and IT at R1C from 2021 to 2023.

From 2016 to 2021, Rune worked at Unilabs, initially as the Director of Quality, IT, and System Development. During this time, they focused on implementing optimized IT and production systems, selecting and implementing robotic process automation, and improving processes across the business. Rune also served as the Operations Director, responsible for various operational activities and overseeing the integration of business systems in Madrid, Spain.

Before joining Unilabs, Rune worked at Hollister Incorporated, where they were a QA Supervisor from 2010 to 2016. Here, they were responsible for quality control and participated in LEAN initiatives and customer-facing activities.

In addition to their roles in the healthcare industry, Rune has entrepreneurial experience as the Founder and CEO of Nørgaard First Holding ApS, a holding company, and as a Partner at Zygote. Rune also worked as a Managing Consultant at R1 Consult and as a Lab/Quality Manager at both CopyGene A/S and StemCare A/S.

Rune began their career as a Data Warehouse Assistant at Ingram Micro in 1999.

Throughout their career, Rune Nørgaard has gained extensive knowledge and expertise in quality control, IT, operations management, and process improvement.

Rune Nørgaard's education history begins with their completion of the Mathematical-scientific Line at Marselisborg Gymnasium from 1994 to 1997. Following this, they obtained a College degree in Higher Commercial Examination from Aarhus Business College in 1997 and then pursued a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology at the University of Aarhus, graduating in 2003. Continuing their education, they earned a Master's degree in Biotechnology from the University of Aarhus from 2000 to 2003. Additionally, Rune Nørgaard pursued a Master's degree in Business Administration at Aarhus School of Business from 2001 to 2004.

Throughout their career, Rune Nørgaard engaged in various professional development courses, including certifications in ISO 19011 Auditor and ISO 13485 Auditor in 2010. Rune also obtained an ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification in 2012. Rune Nørgaard completed a Diploma program in Management in 2014 and 2015.
