Jim Spurr has a diverse work experience spanning different industries. Jim started their career in 2004 as a Mechanical Aircraft Technician - Airframe & Propulsion Systems at the Royal Air Force, where they worked until 2011. In 2012, they joined Schlumberger as a Gun Mechanic and stayed there until 2014. Jim then worked as a Gun Mechanic at Dolphin Geophysical from 2014 to 2014. From 2015 to 2018, they served as a Field Engineer at Baker Hughes, a GE company. Since 2018, they have been with BiSN, initially as a Senior Field Technician, later promoted to Field Service Manager, and currently serving as the Global Field Operations Manager.

Jim Spurr received a Modern Apprenticeship in Aeronautical Engineering from the Defence College of Aeronautical Engineering, which was completed from 2004 to 2005. The field of study was Aeronautical Aerospace Engineering Technology/Technician. Additionally, Jim is currently studying for OPITO City & Guilds Level 3 certifications in Subsea Technology and Oil & Gas Well Technology. Jim has also obtained an Advanced Modern Apprenticeship in Aeronautical Engineering and a BTEC Level 3 National Certificate in Aerospace.
