Product Design Manager at Bitbns

Abinash Mohanty has extensive work experience in the field of user experience (UX) design. Starting in 2004, they worked as a User Interface Designer at SDS - Sunray Design Studio, where they collaborated with engineers, visual designers, and managers to develop product packing concepts and create sketches and mockups for product interfaces. Abinash also worked on logo design, product presentations, and printed materials.

In 2005, they briefly worked as a Visual Design Associate at the National Institute of Design, where they contributed to design education and research programs.

From 2006 to 2007, Abinash worked as a Sr. User Interface Designer at Juriscape Legal Research Pvt. Ltd., focusing on employment services and career publications.

Abinash then joined Semaphore Software in 2007 as a Design Lead and User Interface Designer. Abinash worked closely with offshore clients and was involved in client interactions, gathering requirements, creating UI mockups, and delivering UI and SEO-friendly websites. Abinash was also responsible for new design concept pitches and internal design branding projects.

From 2009 to 2010, Abinash worked as a Sr. User Interface Designer at Lumium Design Innovation, a creative consulting firm. Abinash collaborated with cross-functional teams on various design projects, met with clients to gather requirements, and delivered prototypes, mockups, and user interface design specifications. Abinash also managed multiple design projects and worked closely with production teams for print-based design projects.

In 2010, Abinash joined Silver Touch Technologies Limited as the Creative Head, where they faced the challenge of building an agile mobile user experience design team. Abinash was responsible for discussing business requirements with clients, understanding UI design guidelines, converting business requirements into design briefs, defining design strategies, and brainstorming with the core team. Abinash also conducted user experience design knowledge sharing sessions and managed branding, marketing, and promotional design projects.

From 2012 to 2015, Abinash served as a Lead UX Designer at Quikr, a platform with a large user base in India. Abinash engaged in whiteboard sessions with product managers and engineers to improve user experience design and handled follow-up emails.

In 2015, Abinash joined ii5 Global as a Lead UX Designer, where they elevated, trained, and supported Indian Realtors through software and services. Abinash played a significant role in the successful beta release of the debut product, 1group, which gained a significant number of properties and brokers.

From 2017 to 2018, Abinash worked as a Product Design Manager at Turtlemint, where they created a seamless platform for health, life, and motor insurance and facilitated easy comparison and purchase of insurance policies.

Currently, Abinash is working as a Product Design Manager at Bitbns, a platform enabling cryptocurrency trading. Abinash oversees the product design and management of Bitbns, which has more than 4 million registered users and offers globally-accredited certified courses through Bitbns Academy.

Throughout their career, Abinash has demonstrated expertise in user-centered design, prototyping, design strategy, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Abinash Mohanty, a UXer, completed their Bachelor's degree in Visual Communication and Graphic Design from the National Institute of Design from 2000 to 2006. In 2015, they pursued a course in Mobile User Experience Design from The Interaction Design Foundation.
