Josh Giles began their work experience as an Operations Manager at 4-G Farms in 1999. Josh held this role until 2005 when they joined JBG Farms as the Director of Business Operations. In 2005, they also started working at Black Book, initially as an Editor for Light Duty Truck Data and then as an Editor for Medium and Light Duty Truck Data. Josh worked in these roles until 2010 when they were promoted to Senior Canadian Editor at Black Book. In 2011, they became the US Car Analyst, and in 2013, they became the Senior Truck Analyst. Finally, in 2017, they assumed the position of Principal Automotive Analyst, focusing on Vehicle Valuations and Residuals at Black Book.

Josh Giles attended Westfield Schools from 1995 to 1999, and later pursued a BBA in General Business Administration from Georgia College & State University from 2000 to 2005. In 2013, they obtained the IARA Certified Automotive Remarketer certification from the International Automotive Remarketers Alliance, and in 2019, they completed the Hearst: Leadership Development Program from Harvard Business Publishing.
