David Hammerton

David Hammerton has a diverse work experience, primarily in engineering roles. David began their career in 2001 as a Programmer at TransGaming Technologies and then moved on to become a Software Engineer at Rogue Amoeba in 2005. In 2008, they joined Blackmagic Design as a Senior Software Engineer and eventually held managerial positions, including Hardware Engineering Manager and Software Engineering Manager. Currently, they serve as the Director of Software Engineering at Blackmagic Design since December 2017. Additionally, David worked as an Environment Officer at the University of Melbourne Student Union in 2006.

David Hammerton attended the University of Melbourne from 2003 to 2008, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Pure Maths and Computer Science, as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree in History.
