Willie Byrn

Willie Byrn has worked in a variety of roles since 2014. Willie began as an Executive Producer, Reporter, and Director for the Summer Session TV Show in 2014. In 2015, they were a Sideline Reporter for the Virginia Tech Spring Football Game for IMG Media. In 2016, they held multiple roles including Multimedia Journalist/On-Air Talent for WVEC ABC13, 13News Now, wvec.com, G/O Digital, Co-Host of the Virginia Tech Kubota Kickoff Show for IMG Media, and Guest Co-Host for The Nick Bailey Show (Sports Radio 850AM). From 2016-2019, they were a Singer/Songwriter for Willie Byrn Music. In 2019, they became a Recruitment Consultant for Roc Search, an IT and Engineering recruitment specialist dedicated to providing a high quality service to both clients and candidates in the US, Germany and the UK. Since 2020, they have held the roles of Account Executive, Account Manager, and Lead Development Representative for Blackthorn.io.

Willie Byrn attended First Colonial High School from 2006 to 2010 and then went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Digital Communication and Media/Multimedia from Virginia Tech from 2010 to 2014.
