Matthew Oetting is currently the Culinary Director at Blackwall Hitch. Previously, they were the Executive Chef at STARR Restaurants from July 2013 to January 2016. Some of their notable accomplishments include being featured in multiple segments in Local Media including CBS and FOX segments, as well as the Miami Herald, New Times, grub street, Urban Spoon, Eater, forbes, and many more. Matthew also modernized the dated Continental concept and created all menu items with Corporate chefs, highlighting current culinary trends. Matthew is ultimately accountable for all facets of culinary operations for The Continental (including: food costs, menu development, menu costing, scheduling, payroll, hiring, termination, ordering, inventorying, performance reviews, weekly reports, and monthly PNL reviews).

Matthew Oetting has an associates degree in culinary arts from Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts and an AA Degree in Culinary Arts from the Culinary Institute. Matthew also has a certification from the National Restaurant Association in ServSafe Food Handler.
