Jacob Cunningham

Jacob Cunningham is an experienced technology professional with a strong background in information security and network solutions. Currently serving as a Solutions Architect at BLACKWOOD since January 2023, Jacob supports key enterprise customers in addressing their critical challenges. Previous roles include Platform Engineer at Evolve Security, and Software Engineer and Junior Software Developer at LumenAd, as well as QA Engineer positions at both Cisco and Sourcefire. Jacob’s career began in emergency services as a Firefighter/Paramedic with Washington DC Fire and EMS, following a role as a Paramedic with American Medical Response. Academically, Jacob holds an Evolve Security Certified Professional credential in Cybersecurity, a B.S. in Computer and Information Technology from the University of Maryland Global Campus, and an A.A. in General Studies with a focus on Political Science and Government from Montgomery College.
